You want them to grow in their relationship with Christ, develop complete dependence on Him, and become passionate about being part of God’s mission to redeem our world. In other words, you want them to grow in their love for Christ, His people, and His mission.
The word Kaleo is a Greek word meaning call. This idea is at the heart of why Kaleo exists. We believe that all believers in Christ have been called to be a part of God’s mission to redeem His fallen world. Kaleo exists for two reasons. First, we hope to assist the church in developing mature Christians who will impact the communities in which they live with the transforming message of the Gospel in both word and deed. Additionally, we desire to partner with existing ministries to help them fulfill the missions that God has given them.
Kaleo is a ministry of American Missionary Fellowship. AMF is the oldest U.S. missions organization in the nation, dating back to 1817, with full-time missionaries in 38 states. At each of our sites, we partner with our full-time AMF missionaries as well as other incredible ministries to ensure that all of our ministry is connected to ministries that continue long after our teams have gone home. We are blessed to be a part of an organization that has such a rich heritage, a committed group of missionaries, and the resources to provide a transformational experience for our teams, while always supporting and encouraging local ministries.
